“Remembrance” is key to Biblical worship. To remember what Jesus did for our salvation is therefore the benchmark of a Biblical celebration of Ash Wednesday, the Lenten Season, Holy Week and Easter.

2 Corinthians 5: 21 is about this transferred innocence we received. It says “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

We all know that both positive and destructive emotions are part of being us and being human. Joy, pleasure, love, pity, compassion and optimism are positive, motivating experiences. Loneliness, confusion, sadness, despair, anxiety, anger, and even hatred are destructive emotions and can ruin lives if not dealt with positively.

When we listen to the Word of God we are enabled to live in harmony with our Lord, with his people and his Kingdom, with our neighbour and God’s amazing creation.
