When the ordinary was impossible, they did what could be perceived as the impossible, or least the extraordinary. And the man received a lot more than his friends expected. Not only was he healed from his paralysis, Jesus also unconditionally forgave his sins.

Jesus was upset by the need of a desperate man suffering from the dreadful illness of leprosy. (Mark 1: 40 – 45.) Jesus declared his willingness to help him and acted decisively in the man’s life by cleansing him.

The common goal in the Body of Christ is the growth of the body. As each member does his or her individual part, it causes the growth of the Body as a whole. The Body is responsible for the building up of itself in love as it ministers to our neighbour and to each other member of the Body.
