We celebrated Easter on Easter Sunday on 16 April 2017.
But do not forget that all Christian worship, every Sunday, testifies to the resurrection of Christ. Jesus rose on the first day of the week. And we worship every week on the first day of the week, Sundays, to say to the world that we serve a risen Saviour.

On Palm Sunday billions of believers within the world-wide church will celebrate. They will call it the first day of Holy Week, the final days of Lent, remembering and giving thanks for the last week of Jesus' atoning ministry on earth.

At the heart of the message Jesus taught while on earth was that he proclaimed the coming of the Kingdom of God. We read in Mark 1:14 & 15 that Jesus said: “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news”.

Those who love Jesus and are overflowing with gratitude to him and they sometimes do extraordinary things. Outwardly these acts of love may even appear eccentric.

“Remembrance” is key to Biblical worship. To remember what Jesus did for our salvation is therefore the benchmark of a Biblical celebration of Ash Wednesday, the Lenten Season, Holy Week and Easter.

2 Corinthians 5: 21 is about this transferred innocence we received.  It says “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

We all know that both positive and destructive emotions are part of being us and being human. Joy, pleasure, love, pity, compassion and optimism are positive, motivating experiences. Loneliness, confusion, sadness, despair, anxiety, anger, and even hatred are destructive emotions and can ruin lives if not dealt with positively.

When we listen to the Word of God we are enabled to live in harmony with our Lord, with his people and his Kingdom, with our neighbour and God’s amazing creation.

To be humble is a gift from God. Humility is the attitude with which men, women and children turn  to the only one true God in faith, for salvation and a purpose driven life.

"Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners", God’s message we received on Christmas day, from 1 Tim 1:15,  summarises what Christ came to do on earth. It is the foundation of the Christian Gospel and the single key to understanding everything written in the Bible. When we made this word of God our own, we start living in faith and to the glory of God.
