Which Christ do you follow?
Can we ever ignore our Presbyterian / Reformed Confessions and heritage, witnessing about the truth about salvation through the grace of the only one God and Saviour whom me know through the work of the Holy Spirit?

On the Lord’s path I will not fear, even when evil impacts on my life’s journey.
The presence of the Lord is like eating from a rich buffet where he prepared a banquet of love, peace, security, contentment and rest for me.

Take courage, God has a plan for your life. For this purpose we are “brought back” from the captivity of fear, of uncertainty and of being without a vision and excitement for the future.

We are called to display God’s glory and show his light that shines out of darkness. (2 Cor 4: 6).  But how can we worship and proclaim Christ in a world that is alienated from God and his people?  Especially when we understand how weak we are in the face of life’s many challenges.

Remember the words of Isaiah 50:10: “Let him who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the LORD and rely on his God.”  During every challenging time and when we look for answers and direction, Isaiah tells us to entrust it all to the Lord in prayer.

Ministers and elders can realise God’s idea about the church by:
Not allowing some members more “air-time” with us than the others;
Treating each member with the same respect, love and dignity;
Not having favourites; walking the lonely road of being a friend to everyone – which means that we are never special friends to only a few.

Martin Luther said, "discipleship that gives nothing, costs nothing, and suffers nothing, is worth nothing." Are we willing to pay the price?

“Do not be afraid.”This is what Elijah, a messenger of God, said according to 1 Kings 17:13.  Elijah’s message to the sinful leaders of Israel was usually the opposite of what he said on that day to a poor widow. He was known to say to these leaders: “Be afraid! Be very afraid!”  Ahab the King, in the next chapter, did not call him, “you troubler of Israel” for nothing.
