Despite the challenges, online worship as result of the pandemic has led to some truly nice surprises. Ministers are excited about “seeing” people join a virtual service that had not set foot in their physical location.  It is surprising to see how many people show up online that we had been unsuccessfully inviting for years.

The anxiety we experience in reaction to Covid-19, individually and as communities, is something we most probably never before experienced in our lives.
It is a completely new journey.
We need to be concerned about our mental health and the emotional health of our loved ones and of the members of our faith communities.

Resurrection Sunday, as the crown of all Christian worship, inspires every form of adoration and worship throughout the year. The Resurrection power of Jesus Christ is displayed when we pray, sing and express our adoration for our Lord and King.

Jesus became sin for us. He became sin, he took on our sin, he was abandoned and forsaken, to save us from our sin - the consequences of our rebellion against him.

As a family devotion at home we can read the narrative of that dark night and of the crucifixion while intermittently extinguishing candles – experiencing the progressive darkness of that bitter night.

The Lord will shepherd me, as his plans for me are to be safe and to prosper in terms of his Kingdom, even during lock down and amidst a pandemic.

Spreading false theologies about God and our Saviour is devastating.
God acted in Christ Jesus to deal with our sins and our disobedience and not through sickness and disaster.
He is the risen Lord and our ultimate hope and redemption.

Humility is a fruitful recipient of grace, according to the words of James, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble". (James 4:6.)

Be clothed with the humility of Christ. Do not be self-confident. Become God-confident. Only depend on God and HE wil keep you standing, even when fierce temptations knock on the door. Learn about biblical Christian humility during the season of Lent.

Listen to what Paul said in Galatians 2: 19 21: I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
