I am not an artist. As writer and blogger I paint with words, because I often see the content in “pictures” first, before I write.
But if I were an artist, I would have painted the first Christmas with captions of the physical imagery I find in the Bible.

Loving God, during this Advent Season, while we wait for Christ’s return and for your love and peace to prevail, enable each of us to work for harmony and serenity as we experience the various conflicts which abound in our lives and in our world. As we worship you, may your peace be born into our lives anew.

The Season of Advent is the first Season of the Christian Calendar.
During the four Sundays before Christmas – we remember that Jesus came to our world as a babe, that he is coming into our lives, churches and communities today - and that he will return to our world on the Day of the Lord.

On Sunday 22 November we have the privilege to join universal Christianity in celebrating “Christ the King Sunday”.  On this last Sunday of the Christian calendar we consider everything we learned about Jesus Christ from Advent to this day of honouring Jesus of Nazareth as King, Head and source of life and power.
