 Advent and Christmas
are not sentimental feasts
around a helpless babe.

The King conquers!
The King is coming! The King is coming indeed!"

Ash Wednesday is a Christian commemoration, although not a traditional “church holiday”.

I am not an artist. As writer and blogger I paint with words, because I often see the content in “pictures” first, before I write.
But if I were an artist, I would have painted the first Christmas with captions of the physical imagery I find in the Bible.

The shepherds shared a heavenly Christmas service with God’s angels and went to see the Child. “They made known the statement, which had been told them about the Child.”  (See Luke 2: 17 – 20)
But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart.
And the shepherds went back; glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them.”
