Take courage during trying times!
Jesus rules for the sake of his church and all his children!!!

The raising of Jesus was a three-stage process. It started when Jesus was raised onto the cross. It continued when Jesus was raised from the dead. And, it was completed when Jesus was raised into heaven.

When Jesus ascended into heaven it was God's incomparably great power and mighty strength at work. The mighty power of God reveals the glory of Christ. It leads us to Christ. It exalts Christ. God’s mighty strength exalts Jesus, raised to his right hand at the throne of glory.

The great power and mighty strength of God is not first of all about understanding the things God has done and is doing through us. It is first of all about the glory and authority of the ascended Jesus.
Jesus Christ enthroned in heaven at God’s mighty right hand, has all authority in heaven and on earth. All things are under his control, inspired by his divine love.
All hail, ascended King!

Ephesians 1: 19 – 23: The power of God is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion... And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Did you catch that last phrase? God placed all things under the authority of Jesus Christ "FOR THE CHURCH." Jesus is head over everything for the sake of his church and therefore all his children.

Jesus is above all rule and authority, Jesus rules all things, for the good of the church (meaning all his people!). This means that Jesus was lifted up to the cross, Jesus was lifted up from the grave and Jesus was lifted up into heaven, for the good of the church – God’s people.

But what good do we receive because Jesus rules in heaven?
Christ rules all things that the church will grow in numbers, faith and maturity.
Christ rules all things that the church will grow in hope, love, joy and service.
Christ rules all things that the church will be ready for its testimony and for eternity.
Christ rules all things that we may remain standing against peril, sin and evil.
Christ rules all things that we will under all circumstances keep the unity of the true body of Christ.

Christ rules. We put our trust only in him.

Romans 8: 32 – 39: When Jesus Christ is on our side who (and what) can be against us?
32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all — how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died — more than that, who was raised to life — is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword (peril)?
36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
