We do not have to wait till the day when Jesus returns to become new creations.
It all starts today. It begins when God reconciles us with Godself. On the day we experience our redemption, we celebrate by singing and shouting: The old has gone, the new is here!

One of the big challenges of our day is to make believers understand that the very right of existence of the Church, is defined by the great commission Christ gave to her:
Go and disciple all the nations and teach them everything I taught you!
